It is exactly like doing something extra...

Hope you all enjoy it :)

Sorry everyone...

Hi everyone...

So sorry for what that has happened yesterday night...

I have changed my account to happimomo2 now... happimomo26 videos still can be seen...

** However, now with my new account... i faced another problem... wonder who can help?

Problem:

My channel can only show 1 video... which is the latest one... I dunno why.. but this is getting on my nerves...

Currently, I have uploaded 3 new videos on happimomo2, but only 1 appeared on my channel... (which is the latest one)

Sorry guys...

If this problem cannot be solved...
I guess i can only... terminate my 'uploading nice kpop piano covers to YT' project...

I will try to find a solution.. I swear.. but still.. don't hold your hopes too high for me ...TT

[How Money played it] Introduction (part 3)

**IMPORTANT**
Please note everything I post here, are only my opinions and research... I am just trying to help, not earning a single cent here...(and even paying for extra electrical fees)
You can choose not to read any of these if you don't agree with me..
I am sorry if I don't really remember any musical term...(I have quitted playing piano since 4 years ago...don't think my memory can last tt long, especialli when i did not lyk my theory part :p)

Common Parts in a Song

(Note: This is my own definition since I can't find an exact definition which is suitable and also, some of the names were 'invented' by myself.. PLEASE NO BASHING, if not, I will just stop here and say goodbye)

1) Introduction

- Most difficult part in playing (especially when it is pure piano)
- Have to play at least 90% the same since it is easy to spot differences and errors XD
- Keep it simple = Don't include too many chords
- Usually start off with and then crescendo
- May not always exist - For example: Fall in love (Taeyang & Aoyama Thelma)

2) Verse A

- Part when the singer starts to sing
- Mainly the 1st 4 sentences in the song
- Usually quite simple (chords in background for LH)
- Chords remain repetitive

3) 'Pre-chorus'

- Short part before coming to the Chorus
- Crucial in bringing the mood for the Chorus
- Chords are good to use :D
- The type of chords used may be slighty different from others

4) Chorus

- Most exciting part of the song
- Usually with  a very distinctive melody..
- Repetitive LH playing ^^
- Chords are very easy to grasp at this point

5) Rapping

- Since there are not much main melody (vocal's singing), I would usually play its background music to replace the 'gap'.
- Chords are vey much repetitive

6) Last Connecting Point

- Comes before the last repeat of chorus
- Especially when the main chord changed. For example: It was in A minor at 1st, but towards the end (just before the last chorus), it became Bb minor. (Refer to 'I am a Loner' by C.N. Blue for examples)
- Very confusing for some somgs.
- Require good hearing

7) Ending

- Kpop songs usually end with a short and simple ending
- Some songs even have no ending at all! :)

 * Don't be worried if you don't understand what I have typed above :D
I will try to post some videos that will explain this furthur ^^

Hope it helps though XD

[How Money played it] Introduction (part 2)

**IMPORTANT**
Please note everything I post here, are only my opinions and research... I am just trying to help, not earning a single cent here...(and even paying for extra electrical fees)
You can choose not to read any of these if you don't agree with me..

Steps in playing by ear

1) Listen to the song for as many times until you can hum the main tune/melody

- Recommended to use headphone or earpiece

- Preferably with a piano or piano keyboard beside you (you need to find the main chord which it is played in)

2) Play the main tune using RH only

- Play in single note 1st, don't rush things by trying out the chord.

- Make sure you are confident that you rmb the tune and how it is played before proceeding on to the next step..

- Preferably to play it a few times to get yourself familiarise with it

3) Analyse the song

- What type of genre of music does it comes under? (R&B? Hip Hop? Rock? Pop?)

- Catergorise it to some music which you have played before ( For example, if you played 2PM's 'Again and Again' before, you will feel that 'Heartbeat' is also similar)

- Listen carefully to spot some of the main instruments' tunes in it (The main ones are usually the piano, drum, guitar and bass)

- Understand how these instuments were used in the song.(some of them are really important at times when the vocals are not singing)

4) Play RH in chords along with the music

- Play along with the music (helps you to check if you are moving at the correct way, and is your RH chord similar to the chord used in the song)

- Try it a few times (the chords are usually similar , especially when it come to the repetitive trend in kpop music)

5) Try out your LH now

- Experimental stage (Depends on the RH chords which you have just found)

- Try with simple playing (single notes again)

- Requires technique and good memory of the scales

6) Put them together

- If you reached this stage, you are basically almost at the finishing point..

- Requires alot of practices to familiarise

7) Decoration time

- Decorate your song with some techniques and also other special tunes you have listened to in the song

8) Finish!

- Now is the end of the whole fun but tiring process :D
- You just require some more practice :)

*Note :
You don't really need to follow this process everytime. It only serves as a guideline. Just find a type of way that is comfortable and manageable for yourself!

As you become more and more better in playing by ear, you can just proceed to play by chords directly instead of having to play single notes!!

[How Money played it] Introduction (part 1)

**IMPORTANT**
Please note everything I post here, are only my opinions and research... I am just trying to help, not earning a single cent here...(and even paying for extra electrical fees)
You can choose not to read any of these if you don't agree with me..
I am sorry if I don't really remember any musical term...(I have quitted playing piano since 4 years ago...don't think my memory can last tt long, especialli when i did not lyk my theory part :p)

Before we start, there are some basic things for everyone to take note of:

1) You must never think that a song is too difficult to play or you can NEVER play it yourself..

I always believe that playing by ear is not really that difficult, everyone is able to play it, just that they thought that it requires some 'pro' techniques to play the song...

Of course, if you are thinking of playing the exact same tunes, that will be much more difficult...

Nevertheless, I am here to help those who have some background knowledge on piano, but just can't play by ear (Not for those professionals who are trying to debate my style...)

2) Don't think that playing a song 100% the same as the music = Good piano cover

Do you know, how can those people out there be able to play by ear?
Let me tell you my experience, I start from 0% and slowly filling up till 70% the same (the other 30% were our own experience and techniques)

For those people who always want to try to play exactly the same, why can't you?
This is because you are too obsessed with playing it 100% the same...

3)Listen well and hard

Listening and analysing a song is the most fun and challenging part... It is almost like breaking a picture into puzzles and you will put it back together..

Therefore, to play closer to the original version, having good sense of hearing is a plus point and will definitely help!!

I will recommend you to listen to the song using earpiece or headphone 1st, it will cancel off the external noises which will distract your thinking! :D

4) Play it in a way that is most comfortable for yourself

This is the most important point. Don't try to force yourself to play very cool techniques when you cannot even deal with the simple ones!

Good piano cover can be simple, really simple.. you don't really need to play like a pro to make it sound like a pro!! XD

When you start with the simple ones, you will find yourself getting more and more comfortable to advance to a more difficult ones!!

Money's Intro - ZE:A (new Kpop group)

For those of you who are always reading kpop news, bet you will know what group is this..

Name: ZE:A (before known as Child of Empire)
No. of members: 9
Recent album title: Nativity
Tracks: Mazel Tov, Love Coach, New star

Intro for the members here

I was kind of addicted to their most recent MV - Mazel Tov (meaning good luck)..

Lots of comments were saying that this group... is very similar to DBSK 'mirotic' and Suju.. I am not surprised at all... I did not disagree to it totally, but I looked at it positively.. At least to me.. it is a plus point.. The guys look much cooler and charismatic when compared to others..

Autotune... always an issue in kpop music...LOL
This group was almost lyk 'bashed up' for autotune in Mazel Tov...
But i did not mind that they used autotune for 99% of the song, afterall, they are just following the trend~

Some members really has good vocals.. such as Kevin, Joon young, Hyung sik etc
Try listening to one of their track 'Love Coach' :D

Money don't usually like a group just because the guys are handsome..
So, Money watched 'Empire Kids Return' - a reality show on Mnet which shows these boys before debut... how harsh reality is to them in some way...

These boys were really great.. they never complained about how hard it is for them to debut.. especially when they have to sleep at the sauna when they could not afford a hotel room, and when they have to wash up at a nearby public toilet during their performance around South Korea...

Ironic... and abit pathetic, isn't it?

But they managed to get through it and finally debuted!!
They even clinched a hilarious commercial for themselves!! I was LOL thoughout the whole commercial... hahaha

* If you want to watch the reality show, search for it here

Though there are no subs for this show.. u can still understand the around 55% on what is happening :D
